An easy way to improve the typography of a web page that you are working on is to employ an image replacement technology. The basic idea behind image replacement the HTML elements on the screen are replaced with nicer fonts using either JavaScript or Flash.

My favorite free font: Quicksand

I spend a lot of time working on layouts for various websites and multimedia projects. It is always nice to find some cheap (free) resources that help a design look better in the end. I have come across a lot of free/open source fonts, but one that I always seem to be turning to is one called Quicksand.
